Covid 19 Important Information

We trust that this note finds all of our patients and their families well and adapting to a new reality.

Ashton Ray Audiology and Speech Therapy has re-opened with the resumption of patient consultations as per the recommendations of the South African Association of Audiologists (SAAA).

Precautions are being taken to ensure the safety of patients and staff:

-Patient and staff are screened upon arrival to the Bryanston NHC building.
-Patients and staff are required to follow strict hygiene protocols, including mask wearing, follow social distancing and stringent hand and personal belongings hygiene – patients are encouraged to wash their hands and sanitise personal belongings before and after appointments and to utilise the hand sanitisers placed around the centre.
-All areas of contact are disinfected and cleaned and staff wash/sanitise their hands between patients.
-Social distancing measures are implemented – we are encouraging patients to attend appointments alone and to be the only patient waiting in the waiting area at any given time.
-Reading material and anything non-essential has been removed from waiting areas. These can be provided upon request.

Patients are also asked to please familiarise themselves with the consent information for consultations. All patients are required to complete and sign a formal consent form prior to appointments; thereby acknowledging the risks involved in consultations, the precautions being implemented and with the understanding that the practitioner/medical centre will not be held liable for any COVID-19 infections that either he/she (the patient) or his/her accompanying persons may contract during his/her time at the medical centre.

The practice is open between 09:00 and 15:00, Monday to Friday but we are happy to be available until 16:30 should patients prefer to come during that hour too. We will be available telephonically on our landline – 011 700 6643 during our open hours.

For those patients who prefer to not come into the office but are in need of assistance with their hearing concerns during this time, please Click here to learn more about our alternative methods of service delivery.

Thank you, kind regards and please stay safe
